What you should see

bhavcopy: downloaded=3 skipped=0 failed=0 root=/…/nse-data
  • downloaded — new files written
  • skipped — already present (--skip-existing default)
  • failed — missing days or HTTP/HTML responses (counted in the summary; process exits 1 only with --strict)

Default date walking uses the XBOM calendar where exchange-calendars covers the window (from 2006-08-16). Earlier dates use Monday–Friday only (no holiday calendar). Use --all-calendar-days only when you intentionally want weekends/holidays.
